For over one hundred and twenty years, SMEG has distibuted electricity and natural gas on all the territory of the Principality of Monaco. Its mission is also to maintain and operate all public lighting installations.
Moreover, since 1987, SMEG has operated an energy plant that feeds a thermo-electric refrigerating plant, heating and cooling the urban network serving the Fontvieille district by recovering energy from the waste recycling center of its subsidiary Société Monégasque d'Assainissement (SMA).
Ensuring the constant progress of welfare and comfort to the Monegasque population by respecting the environment and in complete safety, SMEG accompagnies the development of the Principality of Monaco in a sustainable way.
SMEG plays a leading role in the economic rise in Monaco as well, by being the companies’ attentive partner and taking care of its future needs. This explains the success of the Quality-Safety-Environment approaches attested by the acquisition and the renewal of the corresponding certifications.
